Meeting Minutes

The BETA meeting was held at SJH Northridge Dialysis

Attendance:
Tom Davidson - Marshfield Clinic,  Harvey Herman - Marshfield Clinic,  Tim Penno - Marshfield Clinic,  Rod Stoner - St. Joseph's Marshfield,  John Pischel - St. Joseph's Marshfield,  Mike Schumitsch - St. Joseph's Marshfield,  Jay Olson - Ministry Dialysis Marshfield,  Al Graffunder - Luther Midlefort,  Jason-Sosbee Luther Midlefort,  Ivan Idso- Luther Midlefort
                              
*Training
Jay Olson gave a short tour of Saint Joseph's Hospital Northridge Dialysis.  Jay demonstrated some of the enhancements that make today's dialysis units more efficient. Central acid feed, Central bicarbonate feed system, and floor layout were some of the topics.  He also talked about the benefits of home hemodialysis and the structure for Ministry Dialysis Services.

The business portion of the meeting was then held:

*Treasurers Report
From dues and $500 from the last show BETA sponsored -
We currently have $2,930.40
We currently have 35 paid BETA members (we had 40 last year)

*State Report
-Talk about creating a conference committee for the annual BAW shows
-Access can be granted to the BAW web page for input on local levels (Mike Schumitsch would want to give training for access).
-As of Oct 2ndThis years BAW show had 45 vendors signed up and over 80 members paid.

*Training opportunity
-Total water offered a one day course on reverse osmosis water training in Madison.

*BETA Outing
-Discussed a possible Badger Game, Bowling outing, Or just go pig out on food and beer
-Need to research and setup

We all then retired to Victory Lane to continue networking and mass consumption complements of BETA.
